Day 1 - Arrival in Tanzania

Fly into Kilimanjaro International Airport (easily connected from Uganda). Transfer to your hotel in Moshi for a welcome briefing, gear check, and rest. Explore local markets or relax, preparing for your East Africa mountaineering adventure.

Day 3 - Lemosho Gate to Mti Mkubwa Camp

Drive to Lemosho Gate (2,100m/6,890ft) for registration. Hike through dense rainforest teeming with colobus monkeys and birds – a nod to Uganda’s gorilla trekking vibes. Distance: 6km (3.7mi), 3-4 hours.

Day 4 - Mti Mkubwa to Shira 1 Camp
